| Description |
An Arriva Trains Wales Class 153 DMU is seen working the 2S10 1742 Cardiff Bay to Cardiff Queen Street service. The Cardiff Bay branch - which originally formed part of the Taff Vale Railway's line into Bute Docks in Cardiff, is now operated as a shuttle between Queen St. Station and Cardiff Bay, the 1 mile journey taking approximately 3 minutes. The photograph was taken from John St., just to the south of the point where Bute St dives under the south Wales mainline and the line between Cardiff Central and Queen St stations. Presumably the empty land in the foreground will soon be redeveloped, and this view of the railway line will disappear once again. |
