Description
English: The Paterson Museum in Paterson, New Jersey highlights the town's history, including its early manufacturing beginnings because of its proximity to a 77-foot waterfall (to provide power for mills). Industry in the 1820s onwards included clothing, guns, railroad locomotives, aircraft engines, submarines and many other associated technologies. In this image: plaque on wall about the Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works -- a Paterson-based manufacturing company.
