A gennsof plants, natural order Crucifcrce, containingseveral white- or yellow-flowered species, muchemployed for decorating rockwork. A. man-timum, known as sweet alyssum, is much cultivated in^rdens, having white and fragrant honey-scented flowers,of which bees are very fond.
