Description
Deutsch: Der denkmalgeschützte Eingangsbereich mit den Schaufenstern der ehemaligen Lebensmittel- und Gemischtwaren-Händlerin Helene Wesche ist eines der letzten sichtbaren Zeugnisse für den Kolonialwaren-Handel in Hannover. Die Teils abgerundeten Oberlichter zeigen noch die auf die Glasscheiben innenseitig auflithografierte Werbung; neben den Schriftzügen für Lebensmittel, Obst und Gemüse und dem Namen der schon Ende 1964 verstorbenen Namensgeberin des Kolonialwarenladens insbesondere die hannoversche Kaffeerösterei Machwitz Kaffee mit dem historischen, heute nicht mehr gebräuchlichen Logo der Kaffeemarke.
Eine Besonderheit stellen zudem die beiden Plaketten am Fuß der beiden, den Eingang rahmenden historischen Eisenträger dar; unter dem Farbauftrag dieser nur sehr selten zu findenden Zeitdokumente dürfte nach fachgerechter Sanierung der Firmenname des Gusseisen-Herstellers wieder lesbar werden ...
