Description
English: Gilded bronze button-on-bow brooch. Decorated with red garnet and cloissoné enamel. The small buttons on the fibula have white glass inlay. Freya’s glittering gold and shimmering red piece of jewellery 'Brísingamen' might have been a button-topped fibula of this type. Grave find, Ihre, Hellvi Parish, Gotland.[1]
Svenska: Ryggknappspänne av förgylld brons. Smyckat med röda granater och emalj i cloissoné. Spännets mindre knappar har inläggningar av vitt glas. Kanske var Frejas guldglänsande och rödskimrande smycke "Brisingamen" ett ryggknappsspänne av det här slaget. Gravfynd från Ihre, Hellvi socken, Gotland.[2]
