Description

A igreja de Santo António dos Olivais pode ser visitada na freguesia com o mesmo nome da cidade de Coimbra, em Portugal. O acesso à igreja faz-se através de uma escadaria majestosa, rodeada de seis capelas com figuras de barro, representando diversos passos da vida de Cristo. A igreja tem um vestíbulo que lhe dá acesso por um pórtico em ogiva; tem uma só nave e um quadro de Pascoal Parente representando o acto religioso em que Santo António tomou o hábito. Em 1851 um temível incêndio destruiu o magnífico convento aí mandado construir pelos frades da Piedade em 1539.
