Description De arquitetura religiosa, popular, vernácula, tardo-barroca, é um monumento originário do séc. XVI, como documenta a fonte batismal e o portal lateral. O edifício foi remodelado no séc. XVII, quando foi construído o retábulo-mor. Depois do terramoto de 1755, os estragos levaram á recuperação da fachada principal e da torre sineira, de tradição tardo-barroca. O retábulo do altar é maneirista, merecendo especial atenção as quatro pinturas a óleo sobre madeira representando à esquerda Santa Catarina encimada por São Paulo e à direita Santa Bárbara encimada por São Pedro, os quatro enquadrados por ricas grinaldas de flores.
