Description

Panorama północno-wschodniej części Łodzi wykonana przez Ignacego Płażewskiego. Prawdopodobnie zdjęcie zostało wykonane z budynku znajdującego się u zbiegu ulic Sienkiewicza i Narutowicza. Gmach powstał w latach 1951-1955. Pierwotnie funkcjonował jako wieżowiec „Centrali Tekstylnej”, od 1956 r. stał się siedzibą Łódzkiego Ośrodka Telewizji.

Fotografia przedstawia panoramę miasta z licznymi kamienicami oraz kominami fabrycznymi. W oddali widoczna kopuła kościoła pw. św. Teresy od Dzieciątka Jezus i św. Jana Bosko znajdującego się przy ulicy Kopcińskiego 1/3.
