English: This diagram shows the lengths of radial lines which divide a circle into sectors. By the definition of a circle, all points on the circumference are equidistant from the center (O in figure), so all the sector dividing lines (such as OB,OC,OD in the figure) are of equal length ("L" in figure), which is in turn equal to the radius of the circle. |
