Description
English: Indian Navy stealth frigate INS Tarkash made a port call at Alexandria, Egypt on 11 July 2022. Her three-day port call included professional engagements, cross-ship visits and social interactions with the Egyptian Navy. In June 2022, ships of the Western Fleet were deployed in the Red Sea and called at various ports, including Port Safaga in Egypt. The current visit yet again re-affirms the Indian Navy’s commitment to building Bridges of Friendship and strengthening co-operation with friendly Maritime nations. Being maritime nations at strategic locations, India and Egypt have critical roles to play in ensuring safety of international maritime trade.
