Description

Here is a facelifted version of the original Hyundai Tiburon (chassis code RC - and specifically RC2 for the facelift), belonging to a member of Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, Virginia.

For the US market, the original Tiburon covered model years 1997-2002, with this facelift happening for the year 2000. Additionally, the Tiburon's replacement, the Tuscani, continued to carry the Tiburon name for the US market all the way through 2008.

As part of my weeklong business/pleasure visit to Washington, DC area in May 2009, I am visiting the church to visit a friend who was, at the time, a key member of the congregation and the leader of the church's LGBT ministry. I am also making several more new friends while at it.

The owner of this Tiburon is out and proud to be gay, and a proud supporter of President Barack Obama. Par for the course at this congregation.
