Text odkazuje na citát Jana Husa z Výkladu viery z roku 1412: Protož, věrný křesťane, hledaj pravdy, slyš pravdu, uč sě pravdě, miluj pravdu, prav pravdu, drž pravdu, braň pravdy až do smrti: nebť pravda tě vysvobodí od hřiecha, od ďábla, od smrti dušě a konečně od smrti věčné, jenž jest odlúčenie věčné od milosti Božie. (Dnešní češtinou: Věrný křesťane, hledej pravdu, slyš pravdu, uč se pravdě, miluj pravdu, mluv pravdu, drž se pravdy, braň pravdu až do smrti, neboť pravda tě vysvobodí od hříchu, od ďábla, od smrti duše a nakonec od smrti věčné, která je věčným odloučením od Boží milosti.)
