Description
Deutsch: Blick vom Hundsteingipfel nach Südosten. Der Hundstein (2117 m), ist die höchste und namengebende Erhebung in der Hundsteingruppe in den Pinzgauer Grasbergen (Kitzbüheler Alpen, Grauwackenzone), Land Salzburg, Österreich. Die auffallend grüne Wiese im Bildvordergrund ist die sogenannte "Hundsteinarena", in der jährlich der wichtigste "Ranggel"-Bewerb der Region ausgetragen wird. Das "Hundstoa-Ranggeln" wurde 2010 zum nationalen Immateriellen Kulturerbe der UNESCO in Österreich ernannt. Hinter den Grasbergen im Vordergrund verläuft etwa in der Bildmitte von rechts nach links in West-Ost-Richtung das Salzachtal. Dahinter sieht man rechts im Bild das Wolfbachtal, etwa in der Mitte das Raurisertal und ganz links das Gasteinertal. Alle drei Gebirgstäler verlaufen vom Salzachtal aus nach Süden. Dahinter befindet sich die Bergkette der Hohen Tauern.
