Chinese Character huáng

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is huáng, one of the most complicated (and mystical) Chinese characters in the world, with its 172 strokes (3 strokes for the simplified radical 162 ⻌, and 169 residual strokes).

The first row at top (⿳雨⿲田田田⿲土土⿲土土土) is subdivided in three sub-rows:

  • the rain character (雨) at top;
  • three horizontally aligned field characters (⿲田田田) below;
  • five horizontally aligned earth characters (⿲土土⿲土土土) below.

The second row (⿲⿱回云⿹⿱⿹飞土⿹飞土⿰⿸⿺升土土⿵鳳龍⿱回云) is subdivided in three columns:

  • the left column vertically stacks the return and cloud characters (⿱回云);
  • the central column (⿹⿱⿹飞土⿹飞土⿰⿸⿺升土土⿵鳳龍) is a complex item where a first composite item is enclosing on its bottom right a second composite item:
    • the first (enclosing) composite item at top and left (⿱⿹飞土⿹飞土) is a stacked couple of composite items made with a fly character enclosing the earth character (⿹飞土);
    • the second (enclosed) composite item on the bottom right (⿰⿸⿺x土土⿵鳳龍) has two sub-columns:
      • on the left sub-column, a rise character, enclosing in its two right corners an earth character (⿸⿺升土土);
      • on the right sub-column, a phoenix character, enclosing at bottom a dragon character (⿵鳳龍);
  • the right column vertically stacks again the return and cloud characters (⿱回云).

The third row (⿲山⿱⿲風鹿風⿴土⿰鹿鹿山) is subdivided in three columns:

  • the left column contains a (narrow) mountain character (山);
  • the central column (⿱⿲風鹿風⿴土⿰鹿鹿) is stacking two sub-rows:
    • the top sub-row aligns horizontally the wind, deer, and wind characters (⿲風鹿風);
    • the bottom sub-row is the earth character enclosing (in its bottom left and right parts) two deer characters (⿴土⿰鹿鹿);
  • the right column contains again a (narrow) mountain character (山).

All three rows are surrounded on the left and bottom by the (3-stroke) simplified radical 162 for walking (⻌).

The final ideographic description string is:
⿺辶⿳⿳雨⿲田田田⿲土土⿲土土土⿲⿱回云⿹⿱⿹飞土⿹飞土⿰⿸⿺升土土⿵鳳龍⿱回云⿲山⿱⿲風鹿風⿴土⿰鹿鹿山.
