Opactwo intensywnie eksploatowało lasy, opactwo miało własną gorzelnię, browar, liczne stawy hodowlane a nawet winnice. Hrabia Gabriel von Wyhowski pochowany został w wybudowanej za własne pieniądze i na własne życzenie krypcie Kościoła w opactwie w Rudach.

A faithful friend of Prince Jakub Sobieski, marshal of Jakub Sobieski's court. Married to Maria Elisabeth Gräfin von Wyhowski geb. Freiin von Nerbrodt. The Wyhowski family is still alive. Count Gabriel von Wyhowski, born in 1671, died on May 7, 1720. Thanks to contacts in the Habsburg monarchy, the privileged abbey in Rudy, which managed the lands of Count Gabriel von Wyhowski, managed ore mines, copper and iron forges, the products of which were sold throughout Silesia. The forests were intensively exploited, the abbey had its own distillery, brewery, numerous breeding ponds and even vineyards. Count Gabriel von Wyhowski was buried in the Church crypt in the abbey in Rudy, built with his own money and at his own request.

Graf Gabriel von Wyhowski, geboren 1671, gestorben am 7. Mai 1720. Dank Kontakten in die Habsburgermonarchie verwaltete die privilegierte Abtei in Rudy, die die Ländereien des Grafen Gabriel von Wyhowski verwaltete, Erzbergwerke, Kupfer- und Eisenschmieden, die deren Produkte in ganz Schlesien verkauft wurden. Die Wälder wurden intensiv genutzt, die Abtei verfügte über eine eigene Brennerei, Brauerei, zahlreiche Zuchtteiche und sogar Weinberge. Graf Gabriel von Wyhowski wurde in der mit eigenem Geld und auf eigenen Wunsch erbauten Kirchengruft der Abtei in Rudy beigesetzt. |
