Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hoxton Park Water Pumping Station (WP0012) are two painted brick buildings with adjacent electricity transformers. The southern most building is the 1941 pumping station. The building retains its original hipped roof and glazed terracotta tiles. Windows and doors have been altered c.1960. On the west face of the building is the 1949 addition which has three roof mounted steel ventilators. The northern building is a 1960 addition. This building has a skillion roof.

Access to both buildings is from Cowpasture Road through two sets of steel roller doors. The substantial set of electricity transformers at the rear of the property were probably installed c.1960. There are presently four pumping units, one of which may be part of the 1960 installation. The facility draws water from Prospect and Liverpool Reservoir. The station pumps water to Bonnyrigg reservoir.
