Summary
[edit]DescriptionHouse of the Golden Cupids (5886468823).jpg |
This house, owned by the family of Poppaea, Nero’s second wife, was decorated with the elegant taste characteristic of Nero’s era. Gardens were an important feature at that time, and this garden was well tended and lavished with sculptures, hanging disks (oscilla), theatre masks, marble tables and a swimming pool. |
