Summary
[edit]DescriptionHouse Resolution 607.jpg |
English: A framed copy of House Resolution 607 honouring the Apollo 11 crew is shown during the U.S House of Representatives Committee on Science and Technology tribute to the Apollo 11 astronauts at the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the first moon walk on Tuesday, 21 July 2009 in Washington DC. The Committee presented the three Apollo 11 astronauts with a framed copy of the Resolution honouring their achievement, and announced passage of legislation awarding them and astronaut John Glenn the Congressional Gold Medal. (The text of the Resolution is legible in high resolution versions of the image.) Though the letterhead marks this as a page from the Congressional Record, it is instead a commemorative printing of the resolution text. The text does appear as written in the Congressional Record, Vol. 155, No. 109, p. H8360. |
