Hotel Adlon Berlin postcard sent to Nottingham 102 Leslie road [perhaps student accommodation] 8 July 1937 Unter den Linden 1. by "Marlies Kloessing" a widow of Krausnickstr 24 [perhaps she worked at the hotel?] to Douglas Vincent Waddams, later Leading Aircraftman of the RAF Volunteer Reserve who died in in South Africa [cause unknown] 19 May 1943 Age 27 STANDERTON CEMETERY Grave 1401. South East of Johannesburg Standerton once facilitated a Joint Air Training Scheme which was a major programme for training South African Air Force, Royal Air Force (RAF) and Allied air crews during World War II. <a href="https://standertonadvertiser.co.za/21337/lives-lost-but-not-forgotten/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">standertonadvertiser.co.za/21337/lives-lost-but-not-forgo...</a> WADDEMS, Leading Aircraftman (Pilot U/T) DOUGLAS VINCENT, 1150164, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 19 May 1943.
