English: Signs in image include: G. Russell Co., Rainier-Bohemian, U.S. Mail. Warner 204x PH Coll 273.A96In 1878, Hemrich formed Seattle Brewing and Malting Company, Rainier Brewing Co.'s earliest predecessor. Hemrich brewed three beers at Bayview, selling them to residents in nearby Seattle under three different labels: Bayview, Bohemian. Postmaster General Gilbert S. Meem whose term started in 1895 established the first delivery of mail by electric car service in Seattle.
