Description
English: Levels of estradiol, testosterone, luteinizing hormone, and follicle-stimulating hormone with 4.5 μg/kg estradiol benzoate by intramuscular injection once every 12 hours for 5 days in 6 transgender women. The dosage employed is equivalent to approximately 0.63 mg per day for a 70-kg (154-lb) person. Estradiol levels increased from about 15 pg/mL at baseline to a maximum range of about 199 to 247 pg/mL within 2 days. Testosterone levels decreased from about 531 ng/dL at baseline to a minimum range of about 36 to 67 ng/dL within 2.5 days (–90%).
