Description
English: (1 in a multiple picture set)

Perhaps the smelliest job on the farm was hauling manure. First you had to scoop it into the spreader. Then you drove out to the field. You would engage a lever, and the conveyor in the wagon would push the wet waste into the spinning forks of the rear mechanisam, casting the manure out in a fan pattern. Usually some of it flew forward and hit the tractor driver.

The smell on a hot day was overpowering, and my Grandpa always made a joke of it, calling it his "honey wagon."
