Summary
[edit]DescriptionHoly Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire (mid-13th century).png |
English: Mid-13th century (c. 1250, after the Crusades): the Holy Roman Empire (dark yellow) at its greatest extent, and the Byzantine Empire (blue) at its least.
Papal States were officially subordinate to the Holy Roman Empire. The city-state of Venice (green) and the Kingdom of Sicily (orange) were both of Orthodox heritage, and with the French and Danish realms (pink, clear yellow) they were all rather provinces to the HRE. |

This historical map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Holy Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire (mid-13th century).svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |

But surely their role must've been strategically fundamental to the HRE during the triumphant Crusades. This version then, should be more appropriate.

04:38, 30 May 2019 | 1,280 × 896 (47 KB) | SuperSucker (talk | contribs) | pink is just too odd so red should be intelligible with that footer and not be confused with orange (hopefully the funny wikipedia admins involved at the article won't notice while polishing their nails)
