Deutsch: Warmwalzer-Denkmal im Hagener Stadtteil Hohenlimburg, Stennertbrücke. Eines der Wahrzeichen von Hohenlimburg und an der neu errichteten Straßenbrücke über die Lenne am 12. Dezember 1959 enthüllt. Gestiftet von der Firma Hoesch Walzwerke AG. Entworfen und in Bronze gegossen von dem in Hohenlimburg lebenden Bildhauer Engelbert Kaps (1888−1975); sie zeigt einen Arbeiter der Stahlband schleudert - ein typischer Arbeitsschritt beim Warmwalzen. Modell für die drei Meter hohe und 700 kg schwere Skulptur war der Warmwalzer Willi Straet aus Oestrich. Gegossen wurde die Skulptur in der Kunstgießerei Gustav Schmäke, Düsseldorf. Als Gegenstück zum Warmwalzer steht der Kaltwalzer auf der anderen Seite der Stennertbrücke. |
