Description
Deutsch: Das Bild wurde von einem Aussichtsturm aufgenommen und zeigt das winterliche Hochmoor Mecklenbruch nordöstlich der Gemeinde Silberborn im Solling. Auf dem Foto deutet sich die für Hochmoore typische "Urglasform" an. Es zeigt zudem charakteristische Moorpflanzen wie Moorbirke, Wollgras, und Torfmoose. Der Birkenbruchwald kann jedoch als ein Indikator für die jahrzehntelange Störung des natürlichen Hochmoors durch anthropogene Nutzung interpretiert werden. Durch Wiedervernässsungsmaßnahmen und der Zurückdrängung der Birkenbruchwälder wurde im Rahmen von Renaturierungsmaßnahmen eine natürliche Ausbreitung der Torfmoose ermöglicht.
