Merknad: "Berlin" ble bygget i Bremen i 1909 som passasjerskip, men ble ved utbruddet av første verdenskrig beslaglagt av den tyske keiserlige marine og brukt til minelegging i engelske farvann. På grunn av drivstoffmangel måtte skipet søke nødhavn i Trondheim 17 november 1914. Skipet ble internert og satt under bevoktning i Hommelvik, senere lå skipet i Lofjorden ved Levanger. Flere av mannskapet klarte å rømme og det ble også bedrevet spionasje fra skipet som kommuniserte via trådløse radiosendinger til Tyskland. Skipet skapte med andre ord store krigsrelaterte skandaler i det nøytrale Norge - blant annet skapte det stor oppstand at krysseren i det hele tatt kunne komme seg ubemerket forbi Agdenes og inn i Trondheimsfjorden. Etter 1 verdenskrig ble skipet i 1919 overtatt av engelskmennene og gikk siden under navnet "SS Arabic" inntil opphogging 1931.
