Description
Deutsch: Das Naturdenkmal Rappenfluh (830 m ü. A.) in Hittisau (Vorarlberg, Österreich) entstand nach der letzten Eiszeit (10000 v. Chr.) durch einen Bergsturz. Der Name wird von einem Vogel abgeleitet ("Rapp"), der im Mittelalter in Europa ausgerottet wurde. Durch die Gesteinsblöcke entstanden teilweise tiefe Höhlen und Gänge.
English: The natural monument Rappenfluh (830 masl) in Hittisau (Vorarlberg, Austria) was created after the last ice age (10000 BC) by a landslide. The name is derived from a bird ("Rapp") that was eradicated in Europe in the Middle Ages. The rock blocks created deep caves and passages.
Français : Le monument naturel Rappenfluh (830 m d'altitude) à Hittisau (Vorarlberg, Autriche) a été créé après la dernière période glaciaire (10000 avant JC) par un glissement de terrain. Le nom est dérivé d'un oiseau ("Rapp") qui a été éradiqué en Europe au Moyen Âge. Les blocs rocheux ont créé des grottes et des passages profonds.
