Aurefte , ce petit ara veri ei> aujfft & peut,être plus robufte que la plupart desaua^es perroquets ; il apprend bien plusaifément à parler, & prononce bien plusdiftindement que lara rouge & Tarableu ; il écoute les autres perroquets &sinftruit avec eux ; fon cri eft prefquefemblable à celui des autres aras , feu-lement il na pas la voix (^i forte àbeaucoup près , & ne prononce pas fidiflindement ûra. On prétend que les amandes amèresfont mourir les perroquets , mais je nemen fuis pas affuré , je fais feulementque le perfil pris , même en petitequantité ; & quils femblent aimer b^au- ,j^3û.

Edvards a donnéiaras vert f c) fur un individu de la. première grandeur , puifquil trouve àiaile pliée treize pouces de longueur, &quinze à la plume du milieu de laqueue : cet ara vert avoit le front rouge ;les pennes de laile étoient bleues , ainfique le bas du dos & le croupion.M. Edwards appelle la couleur du de-dans des ailes <Sc du delTous de la queueun orangé-obfcur ; cett apparemment cerouge bronzé fombre que nous avonsvu à la doublure des ailes de notre aravert ; les plumes de la queue de celuidEdwards étoient rouges en-deflus &terminées de bleu.
