Hippy Shop Ear Ring from Cleethorpes
Description
English: Copper alloy, probably tinned.

Ear Ring fragment. Sheet metal with stamped design on its surface, cut out in the shape of an elephant and pressed with additional curved openwork elements added to represent the ear of the elephant and a saddle, both with further attached pendants. A thin suspension loop rises from the elephant's back. This object is probably a Hippy Shop import of the later 20th century. Suggested date: modern, 1960-2000.

Height: 27.2mm, Length: 42mm, Thickness: 0.3mm, Weight: 1.92gms.
