The Highland Presbyterian Church is significant locally as a unique example of the Collegiate Gothic style. The Church's design was a radical departure for a religious building in small Kansas town in 1914. Designed by local businessman and church member R.B. Chandler, the church's building committee adopted the plan without any architectural specifications.
