Description Army 2nd Lt. Steven J. Haley, platoon leader in 1st Squadron 14th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, gives an Afghan boy a high-five during a foot patrol in the Darafshan Valley of the Uruzgan Province, March 25, 2012. Haley, an Eugene, Ore. native, along with members of 1-14th CAV, mentor and support the Afghan National Police in an effort to improve the security in the valley and gain trust within the local Afghan population.
