Hickory Garden Grove is the private residence of author and novelist Hunter Latham nestled in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains of picturesque Western North Carolina. The original blueprints were drawn in 1953 by architects David H. Hamburg and Lynn P. Hallowell. The engineer was Arvid C. Petersen. Mr. and Mrs. Goode of Rutherford County, North Carolina had the custom built home constructed in 1954. Hunter Latham purchased the property from the Goode's daughter in 2016. The property has undergone significant renovations to appear as it does today in these photographs.
