Description
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt wie eine ehemals (2011 und 2012) überflutete Uferzone am Südost-Ende des Herrensees durch Austrockung langsam den Charakter einer Feuchtwiese annimmt (Teil des FFH-Gebietes DE-3449-301 „Herrensee, Lange-Damm-Wiesen und Barnimhänge“ in der Nähe von Strausberg, Brandenburg). Die seit 2013 herrschende Trockenheit hat den überfluteten Ufer- und Auenwald-Zonen stark zugesetzt. Die Fotos von 2012 und 2016 sollten dahin gehend verglichen werden.
English: The photo shows how a formerly flooded (in 2011 and 2012) region of the shoreline on the southern end of lake Herrensee is slowly turning into a wet meadow due to the falling water levels. (Part of the Special Area of Conservation DE-3449-301, which includes lake Herrensee, the Lange-Damm-Wiesen und Barnimhänge near the city of Strausberg, Brandenburg, Germany). The drought since 2013 has severely impacted the flooded shorelines and “Auenwald”-vegetation surrounding lake Herrensee. The photos from 2012 and 2016 should be compared with regard to changes in water level.
