Description
English: Hermann Hammerl (1853–1933) was a Tyrolean experimental physicist and secondary school teacher. He studied maths, physics and chemistry at the University of Innsbruck and was later appointed professor there. He was also a teacher at the Ober-Realschule, today Bundesrealgymnasium, in Innsbruck. The portrait photo is part of a photo album for the early retirement of chemistry professor Karl Senhofer (1841–1904). His colleagues at the Faculty of Philosophy in Innsbruck dedicated the faculty album to him.


Deutsch: Hermann Hammerl (1853-1933) war ein Tiroler Experimentalphysiker und Gymnasiallehrer. Er studierte Mathematik, Physik und Chemie an der Universität Innsbruck und wurde dort später zum Professor ernannt. Er war auch Lehrer an der damaligen Ober-Realschule, heute Bundesrealgymnasium, in Innsbruck.

Das Porträtfoto stammt aus einem Fotoalbum zur vorzeitigen Emeritierung von Chemieprofessor Karl Senhofer (1841–1904). Die Kollegen der damaligen Philosophischen Fakultät in Innsbruck widmeten ihm das Fakultätsalbum.
