Description Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Memorial by sculptor Daniel Chester French (1850-1931), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. A bust of Longfellow is in the middle. To the left are bas relief sculptures of Miles Standish, the angel Sandalphon from his "Birds of Passage", and The Village Blacksmith. To the right are The Spanish Student, Evangeline (holding her Bible and Rosary), and Hiawatha. This sculpture is now in the public domain, as its author died more than 70 years ago.
