Description
English: Historical photograph of First Lieutenant Henry E. Phipps, a pilot stationed at Civil Air Patrol Coastal Patrol Base 2 in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, during World War II. Phipps is wearing a rubberized flight suit to protect him in case he were to crash in the frigid wintertime Atlantic Ocean waters.
Phipps was born in 1913 in Baltimore, Maryland[1], and died on 9 November 2007 in Cockeysville, Maryland[2].
