Hemimycena hirsuta (Tode) Singer Image location: Kelley Point Park, Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [OMS Kelley Point Mycoblitz 2018. A Tullis-Krstic collection.] Growing from some rotten leaf found under turned up cottonwood log (the same that hosted Meottomyces mutans, Observation 315350). About 2 mm tall. Gills are barely visible folds. Basidia mostly immature, ~20 × 5. A couple with sterigmata seem to be 2-spored. One spored found: 8 × 4. Pileal cysitidia up to 130 microns; caulocystidia 20-45 microns, probably longer too. No cheilocystidia. Hemimycena crispula is an often used synonym. Recognized by sight
