English: Chief Warrant Officer William Stacey, an inspector with Marine Safety Office Los Angeles, completes the initial boarding of Hellespont Alhambra (now renamed to TI Asia, ONCQ), IMO:9224752, the world's largest double-hull ULCC (ultra large crude carrier) and rides back to shore aboard a water taxi. The 1,300-foot Greek based tanker entered U.S. waters on her maiden voyage May 16, 2002 with nearly 440,000 tons of crude oil.
Ελληνικά: Ο ανθυπασπιστής William Stacey, επιθεωρητής του Γραφείου Ναυτικής Ασφαλείας του Λος Άντζελες, ολοκλήρωσε την αρχική επιθεώρηση στο ελληνικό πετρελαιοφόρο Hellespont Alhambra, IMO:9224752 (σήμερα TI Asia, ONCQ, υπό βελγική σημαία) και επιστρέφει στην ακτή με λάντζα. Το μήκους 380 m πετρελαιοφόρο εισήλθε στα χωρικά ύδατα των ΗΠΑ κατά το παρθενικό του ταξίδι στις 16 Μαΐου 2002 μεταφέροντας 400000 τόννους αργού πετρελαίου. |
