Description
Nederlands: Heistraat 3, 5 en 5a te Rijen, voormalige leerfabriek en fabriekswoning. Omstreeks 1908 ontstond aan de Heistraat een leerbedrijf dat geleidelijk uitgroeide tot Lederfabriek G.B. Seelen en Zoon. Het bedrijf omvatte onder meer een fabriekswoning, productiehallen, een ketelhuis, een schoorsteen en enkele aanbouwen. Deze aanbouwen zijn van na 1945 en vallen buiten de van rijkswege geldende bescherming. De leerfabriek (Heistraat 5 en 5a) is opgetrokken in traditionele vormen, de fabriekswoning uit 1915 (Heistraat 3) in neorenaissancestijl. Sinds 1993 is de fabriek niet meer als zodanig in gebruik.
