Description
Deutsch: Die Heilig Geist Kirche in Stuttgart-Ost. Der Sichtbetonbau wurde 1974–1976 nach Plänen von Rainer L. Neusch erbaut. Es handelt sich um ein Gemeindezentrum mit integrierter Kirche. Der Kirchenraum kann mittels Öffnung einer Faltwand mit dem Gemeindesaal vergrößert werden. Altarraumgestaltung und Bronzearbeiten (Portale, Kreuz, Tabernakel) stammen von dem Bildhauer Gerhard Tagwerker. Außenkreuz, abstrakter Kreuzweg und Fenster wurden von Gudrun Müsse-Florin geschaffen. Spätgotische Madonna um 1480. Vorgängerbauten von 1930 (zuvor Notkirche von St. Georg, zerstört 1944) und 1946/47. English: Die Heilig Geist Kirche in Stuttgart-Ost. The raw concrete structure was built 1974-1976 to plans by Rainer L. Neusch. It is a community center with integrated church. The church space can be enlarged by opening a folding wall with the community hall. Altar design and bronze work (portals, cross, tabernacle) by the sculptor Gerhard Tagwerker. The outer cross, the abstract Way of the Cross and windows were created by Gudrun Müsse-Florin. Late Gothic Madonna around 1480.
