Heaton Moor is situated in Stockport, in the direction of Manchester. It is a railway suburb, served by Heaton Chapel railway station. The railway runs parallel to the A6, and the moor is on the other side of the railway... . Heaton Moor park was laid out in 1897 on land gifted by Lord Egerton. It is a classic late Victorian suburban park with Crown Green Bowling Green still in use today (2008) seen here , promenades tennis grounds and a recreation field.
