Summary
[edit]DescriptionHazlehurst Aqueduct - geograph.org.uk - 1422072.jpg |
English: Hazlehurst Aqueduct The Hazlehurst Aqueduct was built in 1841, over sixty years after the main Caldon Canal was opened, to carry the Leek Arm. Although this seems a strange way of spelling Hazlehurst, it is quite a common surname and therefore could have been a local dignitary. There is also a small village called Hazlecross further along the main canal towards Kingsley (see: 396309 by Jerry Evans) |
