English: camouflage pattern cotton fabric hat; part of uniform worn by INTERFET 1999-2000 Worn in East Timor by Graeme Doull (RNZIR - QAMR) while serving with International Force for East Timor in 1999-2000 camouflage pattern cotton fabric (polyester drill) potae style hat- circular crown and brim; brim has 15 rows of overstitching; 2 metal eyelet vents on each side; hat band- stitched at intervals for attaching camouflage and scrim (may also be used to hold grenades); chin strap- black tape chin strap fastened with plastic toggle; black elasticised head band inside brim; neck shade at back tucks inside hat brim (underside) and fastens with a velcro tag; ‘pocket’ inside crown fastened with velcro tab markings- machine woven label inside crown; red and white on dark blue ground- trade mark - HILLS HATS - LARGE - MADE IN NEW ZEALAND |
