Description

This was a patriotic play called the "Courtship of Miss Canada", put on by the congregation of the Tabernacle Church in Belleville, Ontario. From a typed sheet on the back:

Building The Flag; Entrance of John Bull and attendants; Canada's Bouquet; Courtship of the Nations; Canada's Reply. ACT III. Passing of the Indian; Canada's Regret; Appearance of the Angel; Canada's surrender and Dedication.

Program commences at 8 o'clock sharp/

This elaborate production, enhancing as it does every patriotic emotion of the true Canadian and British Subject, is something that will appeal to both young and old. The music is patriotic, which gives vim throughout the whole play.
