Description
Nederlands: De Harrier was in dienst bij de RAF van 1969 tot 2011. Het is het best gekend voor zijn mogelijkheid, gebruik makend van de uitlaat van de motoren, om verticaal op te stijgen en te landen. Harrier GR9 ZD461 was in dienst bij de RAF van 1989 tot 2010. Het werd ingezet in Afghanistan in 2006 en 2008-09.
English: The Harrier, flown by the RAF from 1969 to 2011 uses downward thrust from its engines to take-off and land vertically. Harrier GR9 ZD 461(c/n P51) was in RAF service from 1989 to 2010. In 2006 and 2008-09 it served in Afghanistan.
