Nederlands: Mario Draghi wordt verweten op de stoel van de politici te zitten maar het beleid van Draghi bewijst dat er binnen de EU niemand is die de economie los kan trekken stelt Harrie Verbon, hoogleraar Openbare Financiën Tilburg University.
De enorme spaarberg in Nederland en Duitsland wordt alleen maar groter omdat er meer wordt geproduceerd dan geconsumeerd, wat we sparen wordt belegd in landen waar minder wordt gespaard als de Zuid-Europese landen en zo blijft de rente laag. De Europese Unie met haar begrotingsregels zorgt er voor dat overheden te weinig besteden, rijke landen als Nederland, Duitsland en Finland moeten een hoger begrotingstekort krijgen om zo meer te stimuleren en de economie los te trekken. Het Verdrag van Maastricht is prima in normale tijden maar moet flexibeler zijn in slechte economische tijden. |
