Title
Harness mount: Chevron between 3 peacocks
Description
English: Recorded from photograph. A shield-shaped copper alloy harness mount with evidence of soldering on the reverse. Little if any of the original coloured enamel or gilding remains, although the piece’s background appears to be reddish; Since the surface is very pitted, this may be the result of corrosion, athough it may also be the remains of the original enamel. Indents in the surface give the original arms as a chevron between three birds with long drooping tails (peacocks?). Measurements: 15 mm x 17 mm.
