English: Harestanes Wood. Past some quaint goml signs from a past era lie some gnarly woods. These are the trees with the slanting canopy and they grow on sandy soil behind the beach.
Sand is blown into the woods, and with the sands, litter. Woods like this in East Lothian have a nasty habit of turning into golf courses. |
