hat it is better toco-operate towards a harmonious endthan to figlit for ones own narrow view-point. In practically every case wherethis has occurred conditions have beenso much improved that a very muchlarger increase in business occurs as aresult of the cumulative effect of thecombined advertising, whether that ad-vertising be the direct offering, of theline of goods to the public or the push-ing of some idea by some of the mem-bers of the trade for the benefit of thewhole. The automobile line is the newest andgreatest of all industries, and as suchit possibly possesses the greatest vigorand expends its energy in a greatervariety of ways, for the benefits of thetrade at large. It is for this reason thatit offers an unparalleled opportunity toa dealer who takes up the line to becarried along by this ever-increasingcurrent of newly-made trade which willbenefit him out of all proportion to hisown individual efforts as a result of thecombined efforts of so many centred onthe one object.
