| Description |
English: Hangar D2, Wroughton Airfield, Swindon In 1997, at the height of the BSE (mad cow disease) crisis, someone came up with a plan to store the processed remains of cattle slaughtered for having the misfortune to be aged more than 30 months in this and two other adjacent hangars. This prompted a classical outbreak of nimbyism and the squeals of outrage from local residents caused the abandonment of the idea. |
